Dansk Generation Dinnerware

I just added to the set of Dansk Generation dinnerware that I purchased last year. I love them! I love that they are not a stark white, I love their random "freckles", and I really love that their rim prevents spills on the way to the table. The dinner plates are large enough for Thanksgiving, the salad plates easily hold a modest breakfast or lunch. Both sizes of bowls are so handy for soups, cereal, or side salads. We haven't gotten a single chip in a whole year of use, and the pattern is easy to dress up or use casually. I would love to see more pieces added to the collection, specifically mugs and serving pieces. I owned the original version in the 1970s and lost them. I am so thrilled that Dansk has brought them back (now made in Japan) so that I can own them again.

Love that Dansk is making these again. Please bring back the tall mugs too! Love love them!

I owned Brown Mist in the 70s and missed those friendly brown freckles. I was so glad to see them reissued as Generation (now made in Japan). They were so well packed and are a very versatile size, good for salad, dessert, or a small breakfast or lunch. I love the high sides that keep Food from slipping off when carrying to the table too. I hope they will soon issue mugs and serving pieces in the same pattern.

I owned this pattern in the 1970s when it was called Brown Mist, so I knew I would love these, now made in Japan. The white background isn’t stark white, it is slightly greyed, and then”freckles” make it more fun and friendly. The bowls are a perfect soup-for-lunch size for a moderate eater, and just right for yogurt and fruit in the morning. I love them!

I ordered this over a month ago and still haven’t received it.
