Epoque Hammered Italian Flatware Sets

Mepra

There’s a reason Mepra’s Epoque flatware looks like it belongs in a rustic Italian kitchen: It’s patterned after a fork that was hand-hammered by an artisan in the mountains of northern Italy. Stainless steel makes it resistant to rust, corrosion, fading, tarnishing, and chipping. (Dishwasher safe? You know it.) To keep the artisanal style going, make sure you snap up the matching serving set.

Rusted product, terrible customer service
Do not buy this flatware. We bought 6 sets--an investment. It says it's dishwasher safe stainless steel. Within weeks we had rust even though we'd barely washed it. I reached out to customer service and specifically asked if this was an anomaly because I didn't want to be dealing with more than $600 worth of rusting flatware. Without addressing that concern at all, they had Mepra send another set. Less than 2 months later 3 more sets are rusting. I reached out with photos, referenced the fact that this had happened before and I'd voiced concerns. After a few emails I was told too bad, Food52 doesn't cover anything past 30 days so you're stuck with it. Obviously flatware should last longer than 30 days. I was told as an apology I could have a $20 credit to purchase something else on the site. You have really got to be kidding me. I purchased from Food52 because I expected them to stand behind their products and it was a big purchase. Now I'm stuck with $600 worth of flatware that will continue to rust. I'm beyond disappointed and I certainly won't buy from Food52 again.
