New plates.
Really like them so far. They are smallish but I really like the color, the finish and the shiny side to them. Blend well with other Food52 plates I bought previously. So no matchy matchy necessary.

Beautiful plates but not for all foods
I love the look of these plates but found out the hard way that certain foods stain the ceramic - anything with vinegar. After the first use, I had a pickles on these plates with a sandwich and the juice left a significant, hard to remove stain. After several, delicate hand washes, the stain is only now slightly smaller and the plate remains stained. For the price point, there should be a note about which foods you should/can use on the plates, so you’re aware before purchasing. I have not put these dishes in the dishwasher for fear of damaging them completely. The whole point of the plates are their deep green color and shiny glaze - and, versatile use. Slightly disappointed.
