Care:
Ready to get the butter-keeping going? We've got a few tips for ya.
- Add water to the bottom of the keeper—the water should touch the top of your butter when you put the lid on.
- Add enough room-temperature butter to the top so that it is full, but not overflowing (about 3/4 to 1 stick of butter should do).
- Don't forget to change the water every 2 to 3 days. That way, your butter can stay fresh at room temp for about a week.
- If your butter begins to soften too much, don’t fret! Pop it in the fridge until it’s that just-right texture.

This is a beautiful and thoughtfully designed piece. It is smaller than many butter keepers I've seen but holds a full stick of butter. The whole tub fits in the palm of my hand. The textured exterior is lovely to touch and is not slippery when you wash it. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

For me this holds one stick of butter. Keeps it perfectly for spreading & tasting fresh. I use two tablespoons of water & change every other day. No issues with mold. I do clean before adding new water.
