choco-dipped trees

Wonderful festive biscuits! Honey clove flavoured trees garnished with chocolate and walnuts! Chocolate chip cookie trees

Ingredients:
- BATTERY:
- 125 g honey
- 50g sugar
- 1 vanilla sugar
- 50g butter or margarine
- 75g dark chocolate
- 250 grams of wheat flour
- 3 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 tip ground cloves
- a couple of tablespoons of milk
- GLAZURA:
- 25g dark chocolate
- 50 g chopped walnuts
Preparation steps
In a saucepan, stirring constantly, slowly melt the honey, sugar, vanilla sugar, butter or margarine, pour into a bowl and allow to cool. Add the flour you have mixed with the baking powder and cloves. Mix with an electric mixer (spatula) on the lowest speed until smooth. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and leave to cool for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough to 0.5 cm thickness. Cut out the biscuits with a biscuit cutter in the shape of a Christmas tree (about 6 cm high). Place them on a cake tin lined with parchment paper and grease with milk. Place in the middle of the preheated oven.
Remove the baked trees on the parchment paper to the baking tray and allow to cool.
Filling: Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt in a water bath over a low heat. Finely coat the trees and sprinkle over the walnuts.
Serving
Serve with Christmas drinks, milk or hot cocoa !
