Quick Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
For the chocolate glaze:
- 1 cup butter salt, softened
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 4-6 tablespoons whole milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix the dry ingredients, then add the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.3. Add boiling water until a soft dough forms.
- Divide the dough into cake tins and bake for 30-35 minutes.
5.Cool the cakes and then prepare the icing by creaming together the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, salt, vanilla and milk. - Cover the cake and decorate it as you wish.
