Mmmm… This is the recipe that my momma surpassed down to me. Born and raised in the South, and my momma was once raised on a farm, so my householdis aware of a lot about southern cookin’. With this recipe, do not be shy to add different spices to it. This goes top notch with mashed potatoes, inexperienced beans and candy tea. You can use the gravy from the steak for the mashed potatoes.
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon pro salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (Optional)
1 pound porkdice steaks
½ cup olive oil
2 cups red meat broth
Preheat oven to 350 ranges F (175 levels C).
Mix the flour, black pepper, pro salt, and garlic powder collectively in a shallow bowl, and coat the dice steaks utterly with the flour mixture, patting the flour onto the steaks to get a top coating. Retain three tablespoons of professional flour.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and pan-fry the dice steaks till golden brown on each sides, about 5 minutes per side. Place the steaks into a 9×12-inch baking dish. Whisk the retained professional flour into the red meat broth till smooth, and pour the broth over the steaks. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven till the meat is soft and the gravy has thickened, about two hours.
