These easy-to-make shortbread biscuits with walnuts will delight you with their flavour and aroma.
Ingredients (for 36 pieces):
1/ Butter (softened) – 220g
2/ Flour – 280 gr
3/ Icing sugar – 60 g
4/ walnuts (chopped) – 200 g
5/ Salt – 1 pinch
6/ Vanilla extract – 1 tsp.
7/ For the crumble:
8/ Sugar powder – 100 gr
Cooking the biscuits:
1 Beat the softened butter with a mixer for 2-3 minutes. Then add icing sugar, salt and vanilla extract and beat with a mixer until homogeneous and fluffy. Add the flour and chopped nuts and knead the dough. The dough is soft and does not stick to your hands.
2 Cover the bowl with clingfilm and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
3 Roll the dough into small balls the size of walnuts and place them on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
4 Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
5 When ready, cool the biscuits on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
6 Roll the hot biscuits in icing sugar and allow to cool to room temperature.
