Smooth Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
½ cup vegetable shortening
½ cup butter
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
5 cups confectioners’ sugar
3 tablespoons milk
Directions
STEP 1
Beat shortening and butter in a giant bowl with an electric powered mixer till smooth, about three minutes; stir in vanilla extract. Beat sugar, one cup at a time, into butter combination on medium speed. Add milk and beat on excessive velocity till mild and fluffy.
STEP 2
Keep icing protected with a damp fabric till prepared to decorate. For pleasant results, preserve icing refrigerated when now not using.
